spiky
Hi all Just got in a accident last week, I'm ok but my 95 impreza 2 door was total. After searching I found 2005 legacy GT sedan and engine swap about 60000k with the paper proved from the shop but on body is 171000k. Here is my question in term of maintenance what the priority i need to look for. I know one thing he said timing belt not done. new break pad front and rear, new front strut. thank you for your time and thank you for every info. Zachariahc
Are you asking what order to do those things?
spiky
Zachariahc: Yes, I like to know what order to do and common problem. I know this car has turbo any special care for that. thank
Zachariahc
I'd do timing belt, brakes, struts. But all of that is relevant to how bad each part is or isn't. Do you have records for the engine swap? Did the previous owner tell you why it needed a new/used engine? Was the turbo also replaced? Check this out http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/turbo-failure-wiki-173358.html Lots of good information in there. Are you planning on working on this car yourself? Max Capacity
Timing belt kit is done every 105,000 miles. Brakes are as required. I recently put four new calipers on my 09, they are easy to replace on these cars. http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/ 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
