Ryman12
Hi guys, does anybody know of a good way to mount gauges to the steering column? I've looked into the perrin universal mount but it looks a bit hokey and obtrusive. I was considering making a low profile mount that would saddle the column and place the gauges farther apart and lower, but I would be more than happy to buy one if auch a thing existed. I have a 2008 spec.b so unfortunately the cubby gauge pod isn't an option. Thank you!
DrD123
These are pretty nice - not on the column, but maybe a better/more visible spot - they also will do some custom work (they have made a custom pod for the visor on the 5th gen for a few of us) http://www.block8head.com/
The Yeti71
Why not use an OEM Lamco mechanical boost gauge? You can change out the backlight with a red led (or any color you like really). It uses a 74 wedge type bulb.
