l88m22vette Posted January 9, 2017 Share Posted January 9, 2017 I've been getting a misfire on cyl 2 for a few days and have had a strong gas smell, and today I finally got a chance to pull the #2 plug and injector. The plug was great, no oil on the threads, dry tip with great color. The injector was not good. It was fine on the outside, but when I pulled it there was gas all over it. I was going to take it to get it cleaned, but there isn't anywhere close and no car makes that even more difficult. Is there a way to clean the injector at home for a temporary fix, basically until I can get a new set? I want to take all mine in for a cleaning, but at the same time I also would be dead in the water so that's not really an option. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
