Slow
I was looking at buying a fixed back Sparco seat and was wondering the compatibility of STI seat mounts with the Legacy GT. I want a fairly bolt in project, would these rails work in a Legacy? http://www.soloperformance.com/BuddyClub-Racing-Spec-Super-Low-Seat-Rail-Kit-Subaru-WRX-STI-09-up-_p_11489.html Thanks for the help. Slow
No, I daily drive the car but do so aggressively. For that reason I like the sliders. I don't care about comfort so fixed back seats aren't an issue.
StoplightAssassin
It's not about comfort. Fixed back seats aren't designed to work with factory 3 point seat belts. Some suggest there are also roll over issues without using a harness and cage with fixed back seats. I would highly suggest looking at reclining seats. Plenty of great reclining seat options that offer aggressive bolstering at many different pricing points.
Slow
Hmm, interesting. I was under the impression you would be able to route the seatbelt through the slots on the sides of the seat so the belt would be tight against your waist. Is this still not safe? I'll look into other options.
StoplightAssassin
Not safe like that. Fixed back seats require 4 or 5 point harnesses. Lap belts need to ride across the lap, not waist. Stick to reclinable seats and get something with nice covers. The fabric on my Sparco seat has already faded a bit (3 years) and its torn on the left bolster. Considering I only drive the car 15 or 20 times per year, I'm not too pleased with that. Personally, I would look for nice pair of lightly used STI Recaros.
