brandon.mol Posted January 1, 2017 Share Posted January 1, 2017 Correct. In other words, the 12v lighter socket is not "limiting" the current. Its either low system voltage, or the adaptor you are using isn't making good contact and is only intermittently charging your device or the adaptor is reducing the output for some reason. I suggest you buy a cheap USB current tester as pointed out above as well as an inline mini fuse current tester, and you can observe the 12v side current and the 5v side current.
