Whopper Posted December 25, 2016 Share Posted December 25, 2016 Hello, Im having a hard time understanding the turbo on my car(94 Sport BC) because it looks like it pulls air from the hood scoop but then I also have a mass air flow on my car. Kind of a weird design but it works. I knew it wasnt intercooled but I dont get does the engine use air from the mass flow and the turbo or does the turbo use the mass flow and hood scoop. Brighton96 Posted December 27, 2016 Share Posted December 27, 2016 I'm not entirely sure on the routing since I didn't look too in-depth at the one I was interested in buying. But the air coming from the hood scoop is the air that gets mixed with the spooled up exhaust gases from the turbo which then gets routed back through the engine.
