Timothy.B
I don't see this mentioned much really. I see a lot of people shoving whatever size wheel they can under their car and wondering how much it matters and how I should go about choosing a properly fitting wheel for my car. Stock I'm 225/50R17 on 17x7.5 wheels et 48 I've been looking at 235/45R18 on 18x8 Konig Runlites with et35 but worried it'll be too positive of a scrub radius and will mess up the handling. One of the things I want to maintain with better tires. http://i.imgur.com/gCtLCmm.jpg There's also the Enkei YS5's. 18x8 et45 with the same tire specs. http://i.imgur.com/KOQ3ft8.jpg Gonna guess that a wheel that's wider but the same or similar offset would be the better choice? Edit: I did find this after browsing the net: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2383041&postcount=36 I do plan on dropping about an 1" in height which would result in negative scrub radius after the camber is adjusted. nads
This is why I went with Koing Oversteer in 18x8 with 235/45/18. Had them on for about 1 week and haven't noticed any difference in driving, and there are some pretty rutted roads hear from studded snow tires. FYI, my suspension is all stock accept for a 20mm rear sway bar.
