Subigon
Hey all. I have a 1984 VW Vanagon with a '93 EJ22 motor. I am looking to add some amps over the stock 70 amp alternator, so picked up a generator from a 2002 legacy (Model 23700A37A). My question is is anyone knows how to mate the existing wires to this newer setup. The 93 alternator is four pins, but I am using only two. One is for 12v power, and the other is what appears to be ignition, light and ground, although I am not sure. I didn't do the swap. Two pins are unused. The '02 alternator is three pins; I am just wondering which wires from the 93 should go on which pins on the '02, after I work-up a new pigtail. Thanks for any help. These motors are bulletproof amazing, btw.
