bomberlegacy
Will a 4eat from a turbo car, probably a forester XT, work in my 08 legacy without wiring or different tcu or anything? I'd like to swap it if it's plug and play, since it has more clutches than my n/a trans. Thanks! bomberlegacy
Anyone! Are all the sensors the same? '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
whitetiger
it may, but you would at minimum have to have the matching rear diff with the right ratio.
bomberlegacy
I'm okay with that, I just don't want to rewire anything, if possible. '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
whitetiger
if you can find the wireing diagrams for the 2 trans', and verify the same pinouts, you are good to go.
bomberlegacy
I'm revisiting this idea. I will need the trans and rear diff at a minimum, the FXT is 4.44 and mine is 4.11, that's easy enough. I'm currently looking for wiring diagrams for both. Assuming the plugs are the same, will my TCU be okay with the swap? '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
utc_pyro
The wires all going to the same places would be my concern. Check the diagrams end to end. But if so, yes it "should" work. Everything talks over canbus with a pretty standard message format.
bomberlegacy
Thanks. I was told I should be concerned with vss vs wheel speed sensors, I assume is because of the gear ratio change. If I can get rid of my 2-3 shift flare, I won't even need this! '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
whitrzac
Do a drain/fill with high milage atf. Replace filter with genuine subaru($35ish)(yes, it actually is different) The problem won't be fixed immediately, but should be gone within 5-10k miles. bomberlegacy
My fluid has about 10k miles on it and I have no external filter. I'm going to flush the fluid and reset the tcu and see if that helps '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
