A few (maybe stupid) questions

I've been seriously thinking about getting a BD but I'm having a lot of problems finding a cat-back exhaust for it I found one hks system which honestly didn't sound that good I want something budget friendly sounds good but nothing too loud (like a fart can) I could make one as I'm a mechanic but then I'll have no idea what it sounds like before it's put together. And also wondering if since it's a 5mt if any 5mt short shifter for a subie would fit because I like the torque solutions one and it's cheap. Any information would be much appreciated thanks.
