Liberty AUSTRALIAN model 03-06 gen4 wagon 2.0GT so it has the ej20x auto.

Engine vibration on the right side while on take off OR turning right (just a bit) And real bad if I'm going around 100km a hour on the freeway and slightly have to turn right at a bend it shakes BAD like someone is bashing the car firewall and steering wheel. Besides that its 100% fine going straight and turning left.

I checked Shocks, Wheels, Tires, CV joints, But I stopped at this part I can push down on it with my hand its that worn.. So I took it apart and its worn bad so please help me I have searched legacy top r/h side mount liberty top right side mount and none of them look the same as my mount not one of them.

Pic attached what is this part called the rubber mount/bracket the whole piece that attaches to the engine just next to the turbo then another piece that bolts straight to the car chassis rail, Please help me :) 2hours of searching and nothing :(

Thanks for any help in advance.

I suspect this is a pic he found on the net just as an example.? (Can't imagine he pulled his engine out to diagnose a vibration. :)

Can you take a pic of your own car? Especially upwards from underneath/behind the right (your driver side) front wheel

LOL @ engine pulled out due to vibrations lol

I looked at a few wreckers online (local) they all have this extra mount or bushes thing on AUS spec but all USA ej20 engines don't have this extra meta piece with a mount.

Its weird.. But I will upload a picture of my engine bay and the part soon,

Thanks

Interesting. Can't see RHD/LHD making the difference on whether an engine mount is needed there.

I only have two engine mounts, 14mm bolts holding the block to the cross-member. Other than that it's just the connection to the trans bellhousing that keeps the engine in place.

I'm still trying to register to the local liberty forum, I haven't received the activation email yet.

Yes its so weird that L/H or R/H drive have different parts OR don't even have this part added.

TBH I have changed nearly every part on a car you can think of... BUT this one part on a subaru is baffling my mind... When I do buy the new part and change it, I will upload pictures so you guys can see the old part.

ITS all welded like it was a back yard redneck job & it looks like crap and the rubber mount makes no sense too, Even when you unbolt it it doesn't come out... Its like its been pressed in like a wheel hub but yet its made out of rubber. I've never seen something so dump before.

It even has 2 extra rubber mounts attached to it on the out side 10cm away doing nothing but hanging freely away from everything like it was a free give away in factory just to do nothing.

I checked over 5 wreckers now that are wrecking liberty GT's locally on ebay and all engine bay pictures have this extra mount in the same spot lol

Yeah true & thanks I forgot you guys got the 2.5L 7 we got the low tune spec 2.0L

OMG thank you so much I was starting to think it was the previous owners mechanic cut chop weld job or something because it just looks so weird & please tell me what its called lol. All the local shops don't have one like mine they supply a different type of mount with 2 bolts on the side with no bolt on top or bottom like in the pic you provided. I might just have to go to subaru and get one.

who designed that mount should be fired lol The number 7 & 8 are rubber mounts & they do nothing lol

That site doesn't work for me I keep getting forbidden 404 error if i go to that site or even try the link you posted..

Thanks so much for all the info and for all your time.

Local shops only have this mount for my car and its obvious it wont fit. And they want $250-$350 just for that small little rubber mount that sits in the cup, nothing else

Its weird because I think I can see the 2 holes for this mount in your picture.

My friend was saying it could be on models that came out with a tow bar, but I seen others liberty's with out a tow bar and they still have this mount (only in AUS but) or it could be a auto thing maybe lol

I see your in NZ you guys get the JAP spec I think..

I'm just going to take it to the mechanics to double check everything because I had my car up on the ramps yesterday to service the oil it & I seen my lower control arm mount on the right side is broken so I want to replace all the bushings too.

Update.

It was the right side lower control arm mount lol that was cactus. I replaced both lower control arms that already had red poly mounts fitted from a local wrecker omg what a difference it's stiff as and handles great.
