DGS
Hey so for about 2 weeks I've noticed a clunking or thuding sound sometimes when shifting up into 2nd and 3rd gear in my 5MT. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the car, or at least from behind the driver's seat. It happens maybe 10-15% of the time shifting up to those gears, and the way I shift and how aggressively I move the gear lever don't seem to have an affect on when it happens. Any ideas what this is or how to fix it?
soloz2
I've got a similar noise, but no idea what it is. I've had it to my mechanic who drove it and put it on the lift and said he couldn't find anything that would cause it. sanchitosonria
How many miles on your car? Could be worn out bushings or a tired mount...
soloz2
I've got 109k on mine. Like I said I don't see anything that definitely looks to be causing it. Most of the bushings and probably mounts as well are a bit tired though.
