CousinLarry
Got a 2012 GT, 45k miles, six speed, about 430 HP or so Very fun to ride this thing!! It goes like a raped ape! I forgot how much fun driving RWD pony car was. I've had my legacy over four years now, was time for a change! I even picked up a spare set of wheels with Hankook studded snow tires on them. I know it's not going to be like the Subaru in the snow, but hopefully won't be completely useless with the studs and some weight in the trunk! http://www.cousinlarry.com/upload2/tmp_15839-10222015021442106443859.jpg Good times! HDTurbo
Nice! Enjoy. If it was me, I'd garage it for winters and keep the LGT.
ehsnils
Just stay safe out there and don't spin off the road now that you are used to AWD.
CousinLarry
Yeah, ideally I'd ha e kept the LGT but my house is out of room for another car.. So I'll give it a try and see how it does. And thanks for the tip ehsnils! I will try my best to keep it on the road This isn't my first RWD V8 rodeo! I've had six speed trans am, z28, and camaro SS.. Granted, the LS1 had about 100 less HP, but the physics are the same!

Scruit
Nice! Enjoy. If it was me, I'd garage it for winters and keep the LGT. Totally, but I'm spoiled in that I have covered parking for spare toys. Except my Bronco which is too tall for my garage or workshop. The problem I face now, embarrassingly enough, is too many running cars. Every vehicle I have is driveable now, so I feel compelled to drive each one at last once per week to prevent them from sitting and rotting. That's Subaru on Mondays, Bronco on Tuesdays, MG on Wednesdays, Suzuki on Thursdays.... Wait, I need a Friday car...

I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.
Scruit
Yah, but none of my cars are worth all that much. My 10-year-old Legacy is the nicest car I have.
Leg A See
Nice! But good luck in any wet weather. I had a '94 and it was awful in rain and snow.
05GT Guru
Roommate had an 04 GT vert that he put steelies and blizzaks on and never missed a day of work because of snow in WI. They called off work once or twice while he had the car because of 4 foot drifts and what not but he never had to call in because he couldn't make it while they were open. Brady
I've never understood the myth that RWD = Total Incapacitation in anything other than warm sunny weather. It's called proper tires (aka, not Summer Super Sports) and suddenly physics work about the same as any other car.
Penguin
I can confirm that summer tires on a 415hp RWD car are useless in snow. Hell even in low temps they aren't nearly as capable on dry pavement as they are when it is warmer outside. The SS will just obliterate the rear tires on dry pavement in temps below 30 degrees in 1st gear, even from a roll.
