iwantonesobad
Hi i have a 05 legacy gt i replaced the axle in the rear differential with one from O'Reilly after a year i look under and theres some fuild leaking from where the axle pushes in to the diff. Look like from the seal. But then i also can pull my axle in and out from where it pushes in the diff about almost a 3/4- 1 inch play in it. So why does the axle have so much play and am i leaking fuild cause maybe a damage seal? Any answers are appreciated thanks.
FJuan
There have been a several issues with certain aftermarket axles not fitting properly, mostly due to the input shaft being a slightly different size than the OEM. If you have the old axle still, measure the old input shaft with the new input shaft and you should see the difference. My wife's balls are delicious. r.lee89
They may have given you an open diff cv shaft off a 2.5i. I think you have a vlsd rear diff and the inboard shafts are different.
