Shogun506
Anyone know what this is? I got my car detailed the other day and they put a couple of things in the trunk that I left in the car by accident. In one of the bags was this thing. I have no idea where it's from but I feel like it must be from the trunk/spare tire/rear area since I've never seen it before. I want to put it back where it belongs. It says "Subaru Insulation" on it

KRM
Looks like what you find under the dash lower panels also. Last time I took out the trunk lining in my car that stuff wasn't in there..
Shogun506
I'll take another picture today but you may be right KRM. It does kind of have that shape to it.
iampetro
It looks just like something that was under my dash, directly under my fan blower motor. I saw it when replacing my cabin filter a few years ago and then again last summer when I replaced the blower motor. Did you have a new cabin filter put in recently? iampetro
mine also had some small stain on it like yours, the stain was on the area directly under the blower motor
battelready
Yeah, thats definitely the insulation under the dash. Probably the original one if the airbag blew and they replaced it. freaksavior
That goes under the rear seat. There's two clips on each side where your seat clip into and the little holes go around those clips.
