Milsparro
I replaced my stock struts with Monroe OEspec - but one of my top hats turns out to be seized. What other Subarus can I pull top hats off of that are drop in compatible? There's an 03 and 11 legacy in my area listed for part outs - but no other 4th gens. I just have a 2.5i 2006 sedan. eagleeye
best advice i have read from others that fix subarus all the time in private garages: subaru top hats. new ones. any that you pull off another car could have been worn out from age / abused, ....or newer chinese junk. and I bought the last set of Monroe OE spec struts that were not actually chinese junk last year. If I had to buy struts now they would have to be KYB.
Milsparro
Oh I know what I should do, I'd rather do it cheap now to hold it together for another 6 months. 100,000km of high-speed gravel commuting hasn't been nice to this car. Anyone know the cross-compatibility for 4th gen top hats?
apexi
Usually what I'll do is go to parts.subaru.com, and look up the original part number for the car. When you go to the specific product page, look where it says fitment/application, and click show more. When I do that, I don't see any compatibility with 2003's and 2011's.
