Ellesedil
Ok. They sound like the OEM Legacy GT rims. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/legacy/leg10alloywheel3.JPG What do you need help with?
fahr_side
I heard FHI was going to cast those in concrete, but then found metal was actually heavier... Sent from a device using some software. Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs. ChrisCrash
I've seen OEM rims go with tires for 500, and lots of tread too. If you keep an eye on craigslist and the classifieds here Im sure you'll find something you'll like and might be a better deal too. If you were in Mass I could point you to a few sets right now. brandon.mol
100 dollars a rim, new, will buy you something much nicer than the OEM wheels, lighter too. I wouldn't buy the OEM wheels for any amount of money, including zero. Plus they have a stupid high offset that is totally unnecessary. chefdrew
The oem gt rim pics above are exactly what iam looking at. So i gather everyone thinks they are to heavy? I assume we are saying most after amrket wheels are lighter than oem wheels? I also read some threads, 18x8.5 is a good look and fills those wheel wells. I dont want to lower my car and iam not rolling fenders What is best for stock heigth. I dont mind a taller tire seems they give a smoother ride. fantasyxiv
Hi there, I currently run a set of rota gravels 18 X 8.5 + 44 with 245 45 18 tyres on my 2010 LGT, there is some slight camber front and rear to get the wheels sitting inside the wheel wells without it poking out. Stock height without rolling or pulling fenders. The after market wheels I run are much lighter than the oem ones, i personally felt the difference between the two that's 4 sure. Up to you what you decide to run, check out this thread if you looking for ideas other than oem: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/show-off-your-5th-gens-aftermarket-wheels-192431.html
cww516
I'm currently running an 18x8.5 +45 wheel with 245/45R18 tires as well. Stock height, no roll/pull, didn't mess with the alignment (I'm assuming it is/was within Subaru spec, as I bought the car used from a dealership, hopefully that's one of the things they checked).
