gonzoman10
Hey everyone, I bought some APEX H7 6K Xenon HID Kit for my '08 Legacy 2.5i Special Edition. They were a good deal on Amazon and seemed like decent quality. So we'll see how they work. 100% new to all this.. gonzoman10
Day 1 ~35min Opened up the hood and just tried to get to the lights to make sure that both ballets and lights work. Everything checked out fine. Super easy to install and get to the connections. Longest part was reconnecting the battery (probably wasn't necessary to disconnect it in the first place). It was also a little difficult to plug in the ballest to the stock connection, took a bit of force and wiggling. All and all easy to install. Here is some pics of what the lights will look like side by side with stock. http://i.imgur.com/8LnQf3R.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Qi9SFrG.jpg http://i.imgur.com/J4CHTbT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ijP4g2Q.jpg Tomorrow I need to drill holes in back of cap and get grommets hoping to keep as much moisture out as possible. I was also given the suggestion from a local parts shop that I should use metal strapping to keep the ballasts in place (this stuff). Went to Walmart and they didn't have any so thinking about looking for some at Lowes tomorrow. If I can't find any or a good place to attach it then I will just use the sticky pads paired with some duck tape or electrical tape. Definitely want to use electrical tape on final wiring just for longevity. Excited for final install tomorrow!

Mike07LGT
Yea for $29.99 I don't see them lasting very long. The Kensun kit had good reviews which is what I put on mine and so far no issues but I didn't really expect much out of them. Best of luck! 03 WRB WRX (RIP) 04 JBP STI (sold) 07 DGM Legacy GT (RIP) 12 OBP STI (DD)

These seem fine pre install, The only problems I see is the grommet part for when I drill holes and how to mount the boxes since they don't have spots for screws or what not.. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk Good choice. I like the lighting better than stock and the only issue I've had is the passenger side light doesn't turn on when I leave the switch on so I have to turn the lights on for them both to work but otherwise they are much brighter than stock imo 03 WRB WRX (RIP) 04 JBP STI (sold) 07 DGM Legacy GT (RIP) 12 OBP STI (DD)
Koopenfausen
Lighting is far and away better on my '15 too! I know it's a halogen projector, but the cutoff is great and the extra light is even better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have a 35w kit you really shouldn't need a relay. Like stated above just make sure all connections are snug....snapped together doesn't always mean it's snug. Dielectric grease and electrical tape can solve more connection issues than you'd imagine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would think if there was a connection issue the light wouldn't work at all... but its only the passenger side and it only doesn't work when I leave the light switch on and start the car. When I turn the light switch on myself they both come on everytime no problem. 03 WRB WRX (RIP) 04 JBP STI (sold) 07 DGM Legacy GT (RIP) 12 OBP STI (DD)
Shogun506
I have a Volt kit from Xenon Experts and most times when I turn on the car with the headlights already on one of them won't fire. It's as easy as just flipping the headlights on after starting the car and they both fire every time. Not a big deal and happens with most kits because of current draw at start-up
im2c0ol
Get some fast bright ballast pair with Morimoto XB35 bulbs, recommend to get relay harness kit too. 16' Legacy Mods: 55w HID + XB35 5500k, LEDS upgrades, XB Type T Fog, 20mm SB. gonzoman10
I also replaced my battery at the same time. May have effect the passenger side no longer acting up. I did test leaving switch on then starting up and it hasn't failed.. Idk. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
