Duke Longfellow
I'm looking for a trusted mechanic to work on my 4th gen Subaru (2005 Legacy Wagon Limited) I live in Stephenville and in need of some engine work but my mechanic honestly told me he has never rebuilt a Subaru engine. He has encouraged me to find a specialist for this job. Any suggestions for mechanics or shop in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area would be greatly appreciated. >grace & peace<

Duke Longfellow
Yea I've heard of them but have run into that same problem of distance. Good looking out though. Might you know of any places in Ft. Worth?
Zee199969
Unfortunately I don't know of any other shops in dfw. Maybe hop over to NASIOC and see if the local chapters have some options for you My "Build"
grimlin
Not many Subaru specific shops in Texas. There is us (awdtuning), Cobb Plano (about 20mins east of us) and MZM in Austin. There are a few other places that try to work on subarus, some are ok but some are not so great.

I'm having a very annoying issue with what I believe is the ABS system ( one or two sensors are not generating a good signal, surges like Traction Control issue over sharp bumps with flashing CC light ). Do you at AWDTuning have a body scanner with log abilities? If not aware the Legacy chassis does not use a VSS on the trans, it averages the ABS signal from each wheel instead. Also there is no reluctor wheel on the axles, it's part of the bearing assembly. Cheap cartridges are known to cause Cruise shutoff and flashing CC light which are similar to my symptoms. Thanks for any info, will ping you directly if you don't check this thread.
