WinstonSmith
Hey guys, first post! I just pick up an 09 2.5i last night, low miles and a pretty good deal. The lower half of the bumper has some scuffs/damage on each side. So I was wondering if I could find a lip to cover it. I have a few questions, any recommendations? Will a JDM lip fit? Is the JDM bumper exactly the same as the US? Something like this would hide the damage perfectly (silver lip, not the STI lip). Anyone one know what lip this is? http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8056/8081290045_30df243f8f_o.jpg

WinstonSmith
Sorry I'm talking about the silver lip that the black lip is attached to.
Vaders_3.0R
That is the stock USDM front end. The lip is the black part. If you have bad scuffs best to repaint it or perhaps a wrap? The JDM and USDM bumpers are different for our years you need basically the whole front of the JDM car. ValleyLegacy has/can get them but it's not cheap. WinstonSmith
Pretty sure I'm not going crazy, notice the ridge of the lip compared to the one without. I have found some similar ones but haven't been able to ID this exact lip yet. Either way the JDM bumper is supposedly 2" shorter so it wont work very well anyway. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v412/bobalouy/legacy-lip_zpshnt6nmwe.png Here is another pic of the same car and you can see it a little better. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8544/8672132220_250f5b9b48_o.jpg
adpsmp
I see exactly what you are referring to. I have been looking for a front lower valance cover/extension like that since I bought my car in 2009. that looks much better than the black lip underneath. If you can find that, I would like to know where to get one too. That rounds the front of the car out perfectly in my opinion.
WinstonSmith
Ok I think I finally found it, and it's a factory part. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v412/bobalouy/car/F5D1052F-A479-4823-8CF5-0E7378FEA442.png_zps7bfccuuk.jpeg I guess I didn't notice it on japanparts before https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/13029 Edited August 2, 2015 by WinstonSmith
98legwag
Keep in mind the JDM bumpers are shorter than the USDM bumpers so fitment of that JDM lip won't be perfect.
Vaders_3.0R
Does that hold true for the 3.0R bumpers for both markets? It looks like it'd fit without much hassle. I might have to be the guinea pig cause that's a nice addition to the bumper lines. Keep in mind the JDM bumpers are shorter than the USDM bumpers so fitment of that JDM lip won't be perfect. adpsmp
Definitely let us know if it fits as it looks great and I like that option better than the brayson lip or any of the others offered
