No turbo heat shield?

Recently I took off my cobb heat shield and one of the ears with the whole to screw through broke off. I am getting it fixed next week, is it safe to have it off until then?

I've gone w/o for a time. You'll be good, make sure you don't have any loose wiring/hoses dangling near the turbo. The shield helps but isn't hyper-critical. It's there as much to keep the turbo hot as other parts cool.
