xthaddydaddyx Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Hey all, So I just bought my first subie ever and stoked to be apart of the subaru nation. It's got 91xxx miles on it and I'm wanting to do so work on it. Before I get started though is there any common problems or things I should be aware of picking up with miles gaining on this car? And how out of the question is it to look at putting a turbo on her?
travrach Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Bearings are common. It's way out of the question. To much work, better of finding a GT.
turboboost Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Upkeep with an NA Legacy is straight forward. Regular maintenance and OCI's. Wheel bearings are a common issue, but if you don't have any symptoms of them going, I wouldn't worry about it yet. You can turbo the NA, but you're much better off just trading in for an LGT. It's been discussed thoroughly in this forum, and the consensus is: don't do it.
