Zerohour
I'm trying to work out how to get the LCA's off my 2nd gen wagon. I'm at the point where I broke my breaker bar. I don't want to heat because I suspect I will melt or catch the interior on fire. And the bushings will burn out as well. I have been soaking the bolts/nuts every other day for about a week. I have an electric impact, but that didn't do a thing. That's why I went to the breaker bar. I only have access to a 3 gal portable air compressor, so an air gun is out of the question. Anyone have any ideas or tricks?
cal71919
Try using the handle of your floor jack as a cheater pipe.
FJuan
^^ Along with a 1/2" breaker bar, not a 3/8" bar. My wife's balls are delicious.
Zerohour
Killed a 1/2" bar. Got a second bar, killed two extensions. These bolts were in there worse than the 2 decade old wheel bearing nut. Ended up using a cheater bar made from 1" pipe adapted to a 1/2" pipe. The forward bolt I was able to get started by going in from the wheel well. Couldn't get the bolt started from underneath.
