Replacing transmission oil tires plus

Hey all.

I was at tires plus the other day and they basically told me they won't change transmission oil on my 6mt because the don't know if it had ever been done before and if it hasn't then there is a good chance the transmission would have to be replaced. This obviously seems false, but has me nervous about changing my fluid.

they think your trans is an automatic. just get it changed and be done with it. hell, do it yourself, its very easy. you have nothing to worry about. your trans is fine.

I will definetely consult the LGT people before making an big decisions.

Well I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I just picked up an 07specb the end of march. I have in the mail turbo back exhaust, some sway bars, steering rack brace, strut tower brace, some drilled brakes and various urethane bushings. I am using AP v3 and I am in communication with a tuner from Des Moines Iowa. We will be slowly working towards converting to e85, going to slap on a 30r blouch turbo. Ultimately will be building this into a 500whp car.

500whp. I hope you have deep pockets? Is this going to be a DD ?

Please give us some back ground so we know you have an idea of what it takes.

Well first off will be converting to e85 1300cc injectors 450lph walbro fuel pump

Then I'll be upgrading my tmic and getting a 3 port boost control solenoid along with a blouch dominator 3.5xtr and go fast bits respons BOV. Along the way I'll be getting tein coil overs to put the power to the ground.

Along with a 6 puck act clutch.

There will obviously be other biys and pieces needed but I already have an ej257

Block that I will building alongside these mods

Oh, a BOV... Well, why didn't you say so? 500WHP easy. Why not shoot for 600?

Tires Plus doesn't know what they're talking about. I asked them to install my FMIC and they wouldn't do that, either.

Tell us what rods and pistons your planning on using and what axles ?

But I guess on street tires, you wouldn't need axles. Do plan to take the car down the 1/4 mile ?

BTW, these cars perform pretty well with around 300whp.

Come on, F1. It's not that he CAN'T, it's more likely that he just doesn't have the time. Which is why you go to the one shop renowned for its transmission expertise: Tires Plus.

Never figured out why 500hp is always the goal. No matter what the car is you always hear I'm shooting for 500hp. Guess it sounds good.

I just say I'm building a 10 second car
