Aftermarket Headunit Single Din Installation

Hi guys! This is my first ever post on this forum

 

So i have just purchased a JDM 2004 Subaru Legacy and i was wanting to install a single din aftermarket head unit. I've noticed that the factory stereo and the climate control is a single unit and I'm confused how to proceed. Would I be able to replace the navi system with the head unit? Ive seen a single din panel kit on avojdm but unsure if it will fit or not. Ive attached a picture of my dash.

 

Or do I have to replace the factory stereo with a double din av panel kit that has a separate climate control unit with a single din pocket? If so does anyone know where is the cheapest place to purchase one online.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction. Any help is much appreciated thankyou!

Has anyone purchased this? Im unsure if its the entire panel including the air vents etc. Also i don't have the information panel which has the time etc on my console, just the navi system with the buttons underneath.

Not sure if it actually makes any difference but that one above is made to match the post facelift cars. Depends what you're going for but one of these two might suit it better.

Also japanparts is generally cheaper. Was cheaper for the part and for shipping aswell for mine a while back
