I plastidip'd my wheels about a year ago. It was my first time dipping. I have been trying to remove the old dip but it isn't coming off. Any ideas on what can be used to remove it without damaging the finish underneath. I plan on going back to stick and going with aftermarket wheels.

^this, or you could try putting some diluted anti-freeze on it. I say this becz the shop that replaced my radiator spilled some on my p'dipped grill and it bubbled the p'dip!! Shouldn't hurt the finish, but you could try it on a small area...

A buddy of mine told me wd40 works. I might try that when I take it to the car wash. I'm afraid to do the antifreeze since I live in an apartment complex.

I had the same problem the first time I painted the lower part of my bumper. The second time I made sure to apply/paint no more than 6" from surface. I got some Dip Dissolver from DipYourCar.com.
I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.:p

I used WD40. It worked ok but it took a ton of elbow grease. Next time I dip them I going to use twice the dip. I wasn't sure how blaze orange would look on black so I took it off to be safe. I want to try a bunch of colors before I decide on a final color choice. uploadfromtaptalk1428175806826.thumb.jpg.8b17e9593140c93561d17b25dae4b281.jpg
