Will 235/50-18 tires fit on a 2008 Outback?

I have a stock height 2008 Outback that came with 225/55-17 tires. I know the rims are 17" diameter. What is the width and offset (7", +48)?

I would like to put 18 x 8", +48 rims on the car. Because the car isn't lowered I don't want it to look dumb with squared off low profile looking tires. Tire Rack recommends a 235/45-18 tire with the 18 x 8" rims. I would like to size up to the 235/50-18 for a meatier ballon looking sidewall. Will these clear without rubbing?

I don't want to go any wider on the tire section width to compromise wet handling or gas mileage.

I really like the way this car looks, it has 235/50-18 on it, but I don't know the width or offset of the rims on this car.

Those look like they are probably Rota Gravels

They are +44 offset.

Thanks for the link, I've used the willtheyfit site before, that is a great site.

They don't appear to be the ROTA Gravel (12 spokes), the blue car has 10 spoke rims.

I'm finding that the majority of 18" wheels available with the correct offset and bolt pattern seem to be 8" wide.
