johnegg Posted December 18, 2014 Share Posted December 18, 2014 it turned before you got the belt on? just move it back to where it should be. yours is a non-interference engine so there can be no damage. if the driver side cam is in the correct position, it will stay in place. it mat move if you bump it while installing the belt, but you just move it back. or it moved once the belt was on and it does not line up correctly? re-do the install and compensate for the movement so when done it is right. make sure you are using the correct timing marks. the wrong ones will give you a no start situation. NOT the ARROWS, NEVER the ARROWS. in most engines, interference engines, using the wrong marks will bend valves. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
