My Legacy Wagon beater :)

Recommended Posts

Here she is, traded a POS '90 Camaro straight up for it. It has less miles and less broken stuff and doesn't smoke like the Camaro

As I've said she definitely ain't winning any beauty contests but it runs great and its a 5-speed like I've wanted. :)

I've included a pic of the "Crapmaro" and my wife's Focus just because

The stripper models didnt have roof rails or a tach, but the tach is easy to swap in.

This continued all the way until the gen 3 legacy wagon L toilet poverty model with no tach and rack.

Well that explains it. I could care less about the roof rack but I might see if I can find a thread for the tach swap in. Thanks for that info, brother Dan!:D

Looking closer, it appears it was rear ended or something. Looks like black paint over the dents. I dunno

Black paint to cover up dents  if that ain't classy I don't know what is LOL, sometimes you just question previous owners thought process haha

  • 2 weeks later...

Been practicing with the 5-speed, trying to get it down pretty good before I make it my daily driver. I replaced the air filter, pcv valve and corroded battery terminals today along with a brand new battery.

Also, I was missing 2 wheel covers and the other 2 were pretty curb-rashed so I put some pimpin' Walmart ones on  Feel free to point and laugh.

I'm impressed with how easy and accessible everything's been so far to work with on this car. Hopefully I don't destroy it learning to master the manual trans again.

Next plans are to change all the fluids and hunt down a tachometer!

Actually, the gen 3 with no tach, no roof rails and rear drum brakes is the same model as his 2nd gen. It's a Brighton. The L model has a tach, roof rails and rear disc brakes. I have a 3rd gen L.
