BigBlack-V
So my wife and I want to start making beef jerky and obviously need a food dehydrator. Does anyone here make jerky and have a dehydrator they can recommend? I am looking at this one as its about $72 shipped the has great reviews. Thoughts? 06lgtspecb
I'd recommend any propane smoker not a dehydrator at all. I make jerky a few times a year in my little smoker and it's soooo good!
Cagekicker732
My dad and I have used the Cabela's Series Smoker with 3 trays to make a lot of Jerky. It worked well and we are easily on our 30th batch this year. We do have a smoker, and Have tried it before, we found that doing 2 hours under smoke, then 5 hours on the dehydrator made awesome jerky.
