Syndicate Posted November 25, 2014 Share Posted November 25, 2014 ...Chincoteague isn't too far (about 1-hr if you're up for the drive) from Cape Charles, so when you get tired of looking at wild horses and deer you can head there and enjoy some nice local eats. Kelly's Gingernut Pub and The Shanty are both supposed to be nice, I skipped real food and went straight to Brown Dog Ice Cream last time I was in the area though. ivwarrior Posted December 2, 2014 Author Share Posted December 2, 2014 Nothing car related. My parents and brother also went down, so spent some time with them. Lighthouse was open, so I made the trip up to get some pictures and take in the view. Went to the town's Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Spent some time birdwatching. Wife and I stopped at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge on the way down, and Bombay Hook Wildlife refuge on the way home. Saw a couple Bald Eagles. I had a good time.
