Scruit
If I get a driver's door from a junkyard car (Obsidian Black Pearl) then is it likely to match the paint on mine? I've heard black matches better, but I've also heard that metallics will look funny if you mismatch them so they must be blended. The bottom edge of my driver's door has rust in the seam and the bodyshop says a replacement door is the only fix due to the extent of the rust on the door shell. They want $900 for source a junkyard door, paint it black and mount it. If I find an OBP door and buy it myself then what are the chances it will match on color without looking slightly off. ssbtech
I'd think the paint colour and pearl consistency would be pretty close, but it's been 10 years now exposed to the elements. Who knows how well cared for it would be either. Only way to tell is to look.
