Redryan98
Hi All. My ouback XT restoration is coming along nicely. One item I have left to address is a pretty strong vibration that happens under heavy load, such as going up a hill in 5th on the highway and giving it a lot of gas, or under boost. Vibration is felt mostly through the pedals and shifter, not steering wheel. Also have a clicking/ticking/baseball card in bicycle spokes type sound when I get off the gas and am coasting I suspected it may have been clutch/TOB related and replaced them but it didn't help (still really glad I did because it shifts so much nicer now). However when pulling the drive shaft out I noticed the ujoints were very "notchy". I don't know if this is normal or not, but I would think they should be rotate very smoothly. Wondering if the joints and/or support brace may be the culprit. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
