Awesome sleeper build! I'd imagine you'd free up quite a few HP by ditching that stock muffler and putting at least a 3" single on there, though. Or maybe a GTO style dual setup like this:

Would take away a bit from the sleeper effect, though.

Yes, this would be a much better set up. I don't think I have any room for dual mufflers the way they have them mounted on the GTO. My biggest problem right now is that my exhaust hangs down too low (the center section) and easily scrapes on certain driveways and most speed bumps. I need to either raise the car up some or redesign the system for more clearance.

Either way, you are right about the stock muffler robbing power. The good news is I don't NEED anymore power right now! I need better suspension and brakes! Those items are next before I add any more juice. The car is actually scary if I get hard on the gas and I'm not pointed straight.

Lets just say oversteer is ridiculously easy.

I once accidentally took off from a stop in 3rd gear instead of first. I gassed it to show off for a friend who was just admiring the set up and it spun the tires and got sideways...IN 3rd!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Granted, I don't have the stickiest or widest tires but still.

Very very nice op. K so where is the sound clip or video? YouTube channel? Come on man! :)

A sound clip from the outside might be disappointing because it's pretty quiet with the stock Legacy muffler. I can hear the LS from inside the cabin though and it sounds sooooooo sweet.

I'll see if I can do one from inside the car. I'll keep you guys posted of course.

So was there any point to this? Or did you just have a bunch of money laying around and say hmm im gonna throw this engine in my wagon lol! Def an awesome swap, but any plans to track it? I would think it would be an interesting ride haha

You sound like my brother! The point is, because, hot rod!

I don't have a bunch of money, but I do have enough for this project. I definitely plan to track it but I'm sure I'll autocross it a few times first to make sure I wont kill myself on the track. :)

I have to upgrade the suspension and brakes before I go anywhere near a track. And by track I mean road course.

Awesome good to see some Subaru owners thinking outside the box! Yea I would say suspension and brakes are a must on this kind of project before you go hitting high speeds and not being able to stop lol anyways good luck with everything and keep us posted on the results!

You can compensate for that with tire smoke. We understand ;)
