relative4 Posted September 30, 2014 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I have an '05 LGT 5MT wagon that just got destroyed in a hailstorm. I want, nay need, another one. All the good wagons around, actually all the wagons, are automatics. So what's the story on a drivetrain swap? Can I stick my current manual gearbox, driveshaft, and rear diff in an automatic car and have it just work? Do I need to swap computers? Am I SOL? CC will not work, from what I've heard. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
