PERRIN_Chris
Like g5GT said, we have updated the shifter stop to work with the STI short shifter on the Legacy, so it no longer pulls up the reverse lockout. We just did this, so they are available from us, but may not be from vendors yet, thanks!
GTEASER
Hey Chris! So the early version, lets call it V1, works with the stock WRX, Legacy and Forester shifters as well as the WRX STS, and the new versions, V2, will work with all? moddingbug
doh, looks like I'll have to return my stop since it won't fit Legacy or Legacy w/ Short Shifter. Either that or i'll have to get the WRX STS.
islandborn
Fired an email...hopefully asking if they would be willing to swap it out. I have not even opened the packaging. Figured I'd slap a return label and they would be so sweet to switch them. We'll see!
islandborn
Chris responded back - fast! They will send me a RMA number and I'll send it back so they can switch the part. Sweet. Perrin just tabbed respect points in my book! Note: This is only because I have the STI short shift - which is the one causing the issue with the original part. Fabsx
Im lost here, I have the shift stop on my 2010 legacy gt, for a good month now. What are the issues people are having with them?
GTEASER
Start on the last page at post 64 and read. It seems to only be an issue on with the Legacy STI short throw shifter. GTEASER
It may not be an issue with the stock shifter then. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold
islandborn
It may not be an issue with the stock shifter then. Chris (from Perrin) said the prob is only with the STI short shifter. Stock one is fine and does not need the "Version2".

jasonlcf
just a quick question will this Shifter Stop work on 05 legacy gt limited stock shifter or STS?
GTEASER
just a quick question will this Shifter Stop work on 05 legacy gt limited stock shifter or STS? No. You have a mechanical shift linkage. We have a cable shifter. I think you have wandered into the wrong subforum. You want the 4th Gen section.
