hmhaga Posted September 17, 2014 Share Posted September 17, 2014 The dealer broke the 5EAT transmission in my 2006 Outback 3.0R, they forgot to fill front differential oil before handing over the keys. They are trying to source a replacement transmission, but there are probably only 10 of these cars in Norway in total - so a replacement has to be sourced abroad. The car is a european market (EDM) version. Can USDM (US) or JDM (japan) transmissions be used in this car? Can anyone recommend a dealer in the US, where I can purchase a used transmission with documented history? What is the price of a NEW 5EAT transmission, if purchased in the US?
