hey all newbie here , waiting on my white legacy to arrive in the next 2 weeks..

-body side moulding?

-trunk spoiler or no?

thanks

I've had a 2015 Crystal white for 3 years. With careful parking...no door dings. I prefer the clean lines without the body side moldings. I don't have the trunk spoiler either. In the end it's about what's going to work best for you and the look (spoiler or no) that you want to achieve.

Hope this helps! You will definitely enjoy your new Legacy :)

Another vote against body side moldings, although I did manage to score a door ding about a month into ownership. That being said, the ding isn't nearly as noticeably unsightly as the moldings, so c'est la vie.

Can't opine on the spoiler since I have yet to see one in the flesh. I generally don't go for them on midsize sedans, though - sometimes it looks like "Dad-wished-he'd-gotten-a-WRX-but-settled-on-this."

If you want to drop some cash on your car, I think the two best upgrades would be the JDM black grill (although these might not give as much "ooomph" in looks when compared to your '18 - I drive a '17 where the grill can really help) and an STI rear sway bar.

On the day I picked my Subie up (03.14.18)

The second Mod I did today (4.14.18); first mod was tinted windows. Otherwise it's still stock.

Car porn! Finally got 'er done. 20% tint complete, 20mm RSB, dealer accessories installed, JDM grill exchanged. Picked up Thursday to take her out of town for work, and already have over 700 miles on... better slow that down... a little. Love this car. Love the lines (those rear quarter panels are something!), the handling, ample power, low rpm cruising. 31mpg first two tanks of gas (not ripping it too hard yet). Better than my EJ25 Outback ever got. Proud pappy!

Had a day off so took her out for a photoshoot - here's a smattering. Might be of interest for some that may be considering the side moldings (which were hard for me to find installed images of online).
