Sti brembo front setup

Recommended Posts

Just got mine on a couple weeks ago. STi front brembos are a direct bolt on for our legacy gts. You need rotors, brembo calipers, and STi specific brake pads. Once you get those three things, just bolt everything on, bleed the brakes, and you've done. One important thing to consider is if your wheels will clear brembos. Research that, you might need to get some different wheels or at least wheel spacers.

I got my brembos in a package deal with an STi 6 speed and full drivetrain from a guy on Craigslist. You'd probably have the best luck finding brembos on NASIOC. I noticed a big difference in stopping, like I can come up to a traffic light running hot, then put my brake on later and still stop early. Braking feels really smooth, especially considering my old rotors were lousy and warped. Your brake lines will bolt right up also. Might want to get them checked out though. There was a recall for 05-09 legacys for corroding brake lines.
