Any opinions on plasti dipping the limited wheels in flat black?

What opinions do you need? I have few cans Plasti dip, but don't feel blackout wheels go with Crystal white pearl.

I was just curious of how the limited wheels would look black. I'm liking the idea of flat black wheels, grill, and badges on a white limited with black interior and tinted windows. If it doesn't look right, I can always just peel it off

I gotta admit the black limited model looks very mean and luxury with the black out headlight.

The black looks great at first. The first model we got in at the dealership was a black limited. Two days after it was detailed- it looked like shit. Dark colors always require a ton of maintenance. Not to mention the swirl marks that will always be visible after washing it. That's why I stick with white cars. Boring, but always look nice.

Yep, you'll gotta be really careful when bringing it to someone to wash it and detail work needs to be professionally done.

When I picked my white two weeks ago, I see some swirl marks on my passenger headlight. I bet there is few more around but just couldn't tell on the Crystal White Pearl. I need to polish the head light and give it a wax when I have a chance.

I really like the LED surrounds... I wonder if there is any way to brighten them up... I think they would be much more distinctive.

It's not like the WRX where you can swap the 194/168 led with a brighter and different temperature. These seem to be built in LED about 2-3 LEDS lid the C up. There's no way to get to it without separating the light.

Projectors are the low beams (and DRLs) while the high beams are the typical bulb/reflector setup.

If you live down by Texas, Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida.

It doesn't feels right to have the high beam DRL running during the day light with 95+ degree outside plus the heat of the DRL, I don't think the headlight will last after two years.

I planned to disable it and add a custom Superflux LEDS around my foglights as the DRL.

As seen here, I have the same setup on my SUV and I likes how bright it is daylight. There's another 50+pages thread on one of the Audi forum uses those LEDS but I couldn't find it anymore.

Those who has the premium models easier to get the Morimoto X DRL or Philips DRL

So the high beams are now the DRLs? This is different than the 4th and 5th Gens where the DRLs are the low beams.

My car spent the first 4.5 years in hot/dry SoCal, and the last 3.5 years in hot/humid SoCar, and I've not had any issues with the DRLs. I've replaced 3 low beam bulbs - 2 PS/1 DS - in 155K of driving, no high beam bulbs at all. DRLs are throttled-down to run at ~ 35-50% power versus full-on low beams - so their heat signature is greatly reduced verus fully-on.

So If the LED's burn out you would have to replace the entire headlamp assembly?

Yep, I did read the manual 2-3x no instruction regarding the C DRL LED. So I guess it's embed inside the headlight it self.

My 5th Gen Legacy has the high beams for DRL.
