Remove the banjo filter. change the oil. Listen to the turbo, have a plan in place for a new one. When the whine changes to a whistle, shut the engine off, replace the turbo.

I got 1000 miles out of mine before it changed to a whistle as I left the driveway going to work one day. I turned around drove back to the house about 1/4 mile and ordered the vf52 from Mike at http://www.AZPinstalls.com Called him before 10AM, had the vf52 the next day.

I got lucky.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
