erama Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hey everyone, I've been lookin this problem up on the internet and in these posts and haven't found a definitive answer to my issue. So the problem I've got right now is when I push the gas the car accelerates very oddly at about 2k rpms they start bouncing up and down and the car accelerates very slowly almost in a jerky manner. It feels kinda jerky cause I am rocking back and front in my seat when accelerating due to the bouncing rpms I'm assuming. When let go of the gas the car coasts smooth So I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue before and how they went about fixing it. I'm going to start with new spark plugs cause I read it could be spark wires or coil problem and possibly an o2 sensor problem Any insight?
Max Capacity Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What year car ? Lots of threads about this, yes the Front O2 could be a issue, but normally we say clean the MAF sensor first, the auto parts has a can of MAF cleaner. There is a sticky about it too I think. GT's are coil on plug. Also make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks, and your engine grounds are clean. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
