AhoyTroy Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I've found a couple td05 big 16g turbochargers for reasonable prices. I'm just curious if they would actually "bolt-on", and if I'm going to need to replace any injectors or any other parts to work with the turbo. Thanks!
Max Capacity Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 What's the mounting flange look like, will it mate to your up pipe flange? BNR16g can run stock fueling. Same as my vf52. But will need a tune. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
AhoyTroy Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 It looks very similar, but I'll have to do some more research. My plan is to get this 16g and then the Cobb v3 access-port. The only other parts I have installed is a Perrin short ram intake and full catless exhaust w/ ELH. Think that would work?
Max Capacity Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 It should, but the short ram is useless at this hp. The stock intake is the best up to 400whp. Sorry. If the turbo will bolt you the up pipe/dn pipe and inlet and "new" oil drian hose, a tuner can work with it. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
