firehawk618 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Those of you that have the dual pod above the clock, in the cubby, are you able to close the cubby door still? I cannot and do not see any way that would even be possible. I installed mine today and am kind of disappointed in it. I was under the impression that the door would still function. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon. firehawk618 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Ok I figured out my problem. I ordered the cubby pod from JCS pods and theirs appears to be a poor choice if you want the door to close IMO. This is the one I ordered: http://www.jcs-pods.com/0509LGT.php I do NOT recommend it if you want to close the door still. I wish I had researched more prior to purchase but I had assumed there was only one style. It appears the good pod to order is this one: http://www.cubbypods.com/#!product/prd1/1427731201/subaru-legacy-cubbypod-(us-only) This one looks like it's MUCH better construction and allows me to close the door still. I will be ordering this one and throwing the other one in the trash. $40 dollar lesson learned. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon. boostgt2 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hey thanks for the info I just ordered one from cubbypods. good luck with yours
firehawk618 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Same direction as this. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13913110955787&key=c1ac8fd132f1c1d959d5f77155b0d5a6&loc=http%3A%2F%2Flegacygt.com%2Fforums%2Fshowthread.php%2Fdual-pod-above-clock-question-220431.html%3Ft%3D220431&v=1&libId=b31f840f-5207-4f75-ae78-00fd9b38acc5&out=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.wix.com%2Fugd%2Fb0ca13_be559594d1d049fc851e577d621768a8.pdf&ref=http%3A%2F%2Flegacygt.com%2Fforums%2Fsearch.php%3Fsearchid%3D13264046&title=Dual%20pod%20above%20clock%20question%20-%20Subaru%20Legacy%20Forums&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.wix.com%2Fugd%2Fb0ca13_be55...7d621768a8.pdf yeah, they must be different now. was yours made out of thick plastic that will not fit like the instructions suggest? also those instructions show two notches in the tabs that help hold it in place. This has none. This also has no third tab that the bolt goes through. Totally different than what is pictured on the instructions. The only way this fits is to just shove it into the cubby. That is it. I have taken the whole cubby apart to install it properly like the ones in the instructions but it is completely different. When the real pod comes in I will take side by side photos. It does look exactly like the one listed in the jcs pods site which is nothing like the ones in the instructions posted above. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. firehawk618 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Got the new one in the mail today. It's completely different than the one I originally bought. Nrw Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Mine is a JCS from maybe 3 years ago now? Followed the included instructions door closes just fine. No issues with the ProCraps I had in there or the DEI's I have in there now.
