Vent gauge pod installed. Love it.

I finally got around to installing the hand made dual gauge pod I had ordered over a month ago. I must say the fit is perfect. Feels solid and the placement is excellent.

The only drilling required is in the vent duct so the wires can be routed into the bottom of the pod.

Sorry all I have now is a night pic. I'll post another tomorrow.

The guy who makes / sells them does them mostly for MS3's. Try searching for Mazdaspeed 3 vent pods, I'll try to find the info tonight when I get off work.

I'll put this out there, it was NOT cheap. ~$135 IIRC but IMO worth it.

I opted for the dual pod. He also makes a triple pod.

Craftsmanship is top notch considering a guy is making these one at a time by hand.

The only difficulty I had was getting it to *click* back into the dash but it's not the pod causing this because I tried to put my stock vent back in when I was troubleshooting fitment and it wouldn't go back on easy either.

Creative prying in the right spot got it to pop right in.

OP has 52mm gauges. I'm going to see if the seller is interested in a GB. I dunno if he's banned here, I recall a bit of drama a bit back, and his username is no longer listed here.

Any tips or tricks to removing the vent without marring the dash pad?

Plastic pry tools. That's what I used, and lots of patience. It was fairly easy to get it out. Getting the pod to "click" in was a totally different story. That was a pita.

The location is awesome on our cars. IMO better than the cubby gauges.
