Kookookachew Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Strange question I know, but stay with me here. I'm looking at picking up a set of 17" Scion TC wheels with essentially brand new Conti ExtremeContact DWS', for... cheap. Anyway, I know the TC wheels are center-bore 54.1 and Subaru runs 56.1. Most machine shops want to charge around $50 per wheel to bore them out the 2mm, which puts them into the whats the point category, and I'm fairly certain that while I can turbo and manual-swap an N/A 1st gen, I probably cant bore out a set of wheels myself without them loosing all ability to balance ever again. Since the TC wheels are 45mm offset, and the stock LGT wheels are 55mm I'm thinking about tossing on a set of 10mm spacers (I can get these very cheap as well) and I'm curious if the 10mm spacers will space the wheel out enough so the smaller center bore is no longer an issue. Anyone know or want to check the center bore depth front and back for me? I'm currently 3.5 hours away from my '06 LGT, and the tires are about 20 mins from me now. So I wont be making a 7 hour round trip to measure something.
