TheMonaLisa Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Since I joined the forums last summer everyone online always said use the Rotella T6 (which is 5-w40 oil) and constantly praised how good it was. But Subaru of America says to use only 5-w30 oils. I was torn between the two. So today I was talking with my local Subaru tech about this and after explaining that my car had run synthetic most of its life, he actually recommended Rotella T6 5-w40. Said the stuff is absolutely liquid gold and that he's even seen it cure mild piston slap. So after half a year of being on the fence about what oil is the absolute best for our motors, my debate is settled. Shell Rotella T6 5-w40 it is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
