CBY Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Hi all, December 2013 was (for many of us) very very cold and my Subaru went on with no issues to report... except that late in December, early January (-15 degree F) my Navi buttons started to blink. I rarely use my GPS - my commute is less than 10 minutes and the car knows it's way around to work without me. The blinking buttons lights are barely visible during the day. BUT - as you all know - the TIME on the Dashboard is linked with the GPS time... But and when I lost time display on the Dashboard... I got susipicious and tried to access the GPS and - darn - it just wouldn't come up. The screen was completely blank with no button interaction. Whether's it's the cold or a bad connection is beyond me. TODAY for the 1st time in 4 weeks the GPS decided to come back to life ! I can rule out the cold because in the last week because in the last week temp fluctuated between +35 to 15F (today). Can't be a fuse.Bad connection (out of the blue ???)I have found one instance on the internet where someone had this but they mentioned the DVD had to be replaced. This was never confirmed. I tried it today and it worked so I can rule out the DVD too. What gives ? Anyone else seen the blinking buttons ? Any help is greatly appreciated.
