Cerebral_1 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey guys, I am a relative newbie on here and just wanted to share some pics of the first major mod to my 2005 OBXT, which is a custom SS axle-back exhaust (muffler delete) with double-walled 3.5" black ceramic-coated tips designed/fabricated/installed by Moore Performance (Pittsburgh area). My OBXT finally has a deeper rumble like you'd get with a WRX/STi, without being too loud! :spin:I'll see if I can get some video with sound up on here. I have never liked turn-down tips, so we talked about various options, including a quad-tip exhaust resembling a WRX/STi rear valance...but unfortunately, the bumper beam behind the skin is rather low on the Outbacks (this is not the case on the Legacy), making this more difficult. The founder, Ryan Moore, suggested a side exit exhaust right behind the rear wheels, and I think they did a really nice job. This is possibly the only OBXT (and one of a handful of Subarus in general) in existence with a side exit exhaust. Also, I definitely wanted black tips to make it a little more stealthy and unique, and to match my Plasti-Dip'd emblems and grille. What do you guys think? BTW, the guys at Moore Performance are awesome--very professional, highly skilled, and great to work with! Highly recommended!
