Scotty Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 And how would a security system stop your tires from getting slashed?

Sticky Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 And how would a security system stop your tires from getting slashed? it wouldnt but then i would know when it happens and i could come out and **** up whoevers doing it? Isnt the whole point of security systems is that it alerts you when something happens to your car.
DonnyJagaru Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I've had all my tires knifed in the past. Pretty sure it was from someone suffering penis envy. Insurance coughed up for that once I attached the police report. And no, the alarm didn't go off.
firehawk618 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Slashing of tires is very unlikely to set off any motion detection in an alarm. If it were set sensitive enough to detect the tire going flat then every fairly loud car or truck that went anywhere by the car would set it off. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon. BNR16G, Catless UP, DOWN, Hexmods VB, Hexmods diff bushings, BIG TMIC. Best 0-60: 4.651 by AP 1/4= 13.678@100.73 mph, 1.945 60', Automatic transmission.
Wheelbuilder_25 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I'd invest my time/money in a neighborhood watch, better neighbors or a garage that has an on duty guard. If you just want to identify who's near your car, stick a couple of trailcams in the car mounted so no one can sneak up on it (or steal them).
FLlegacy Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Wheelbuilder has the right suggestion, just make sure it is hidden so noone can steal it. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=4414666
